Gym Manager and Lead Fitness Coach
I’ve been a member at Mission: Fitness since August of 2010 and started working as a part-time coach in January of 2011. I began working full time as Lead Fitness Coach and Gym Manager in June of 2013. In the past year, I’ve earned my credentials as a Certified Personal Trainer and as a certified Specialist in Fitness Nutrition.
When I first started at Mission: Fitness, I was out of shape and had no idea what I was getting myself into. Lucky for me, from the second I walked in the doors, I found nothing but encouragement and friendship. The positive energy of the coaches and members helped drive me to push myself.
As a mother of five (four girls and one boy), I’m so glad I found this gym. It helped me realize the changes I needed to make for my family to be healthy. I’m so grateful that I was able to save my family from an unhealthy lifestyle and ensure my future grandchildren’s lives will be healthier from the start. If I could do anything over, it would be to find this place sooner!
I love this gym and I love that this is my job. I get my inspiration every day from the members that show up and push themselves to be better. I love how our members encourage and grow with each other. This is an environment that can’t be duplicated and you couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere. It’s not just about the workouts. The friendships I’ve made will last me a lifetime.
Advice for Newcomers:
As a trainer, I want to make sure you are getting everything you want out of your workouts. Just as important (or even more so), is your nutrition. That’s what really changed my life at the gym and I want to educate everyone on that as well. Working out is an integral part of your health – but, please, don’t forget about your nutrition. You can’t outwork a bad diet!
